3. Products
All products listed on our website are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time without notice. Product images are for illustrative purposes only; the appearance of the actual product may vary slightly due to the handcrafted nature of our candles.
We make every effort to display colours and scent descriptions as accurately as possible, however we cannot guarantee that your device’s display or personal perception will be an exact match.
4. Candle Safety & Product Use
All candles must be used responsibly and in accordance with the safety instructions provided with your product. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these instructions.
Bougie d’Or accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or harm resulting from the misuse, negligent use, or failure to follow the safety guidelines included with our products.
5. Pricing
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is the price shown at the time you complete your purchase.
Delivery charges are not included in the product price and will be displayed separately at checkout.
6. Orders & Contract Formation
Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is only formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity.
If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, a full refund will be issued within 14 working days to your original payment method.
7. Payment
We accept payment via the methods displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely. We do not store your full card details. By submitting your payment information, you confirm you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
8. Shipping & Delivery
We aim to dispatch all orders within 2–5 business days. Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control. Bougie d’Or is not responsible for delays once the order has been dispatched.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist.
United Kingdom
- Standard Tracked Delivery: Estimated 2–4 working days — £2.95, or free on orders over £50.00. Fully tracked with Royal Mail Tracked 48.
- Express Tracked Delivery: Estimated 1–2 working days — £6.95. Priority handling and swift dispatch with Royal Mail Tracked 24.
International Delivery
- Standard Tracked Delivery: Estimated 7–12 working days — £9.99. Reliable international service with full tracking.
- Priority Tracked Delivery: Estimated 5–10 working days — £14.99. Orders are fast-tracked with priority handling, dispatched ahead of standard orders while travelling with our secure tracked service.
Duties & Taxes
UK Orders: All UK orders include VAT where applicable. No additional duties or hidden taxes will be charged at checkout or upon delivery. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay.
International Orders: International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or local fees upon arrival in your country. These charges are set by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the customer. Bougie d’Or has no control over these charges and cannot predict the cost, as they vary by country. We recommend checking with your local customs office before placing your order if you are unsure.
9. Customs & Duties (International Orders)
For any orders shipped outside the United Kingdom, the recipient is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or any other fees imposed by the destination country. Bougie d’Or has no control over these charges and cannot predict or advise on their amount. We recommend contacting your local customs office for further information prior to placing an international order.
10. Returns & Refunds
We want you to love your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied, you may return unused items in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt for a full refund of the product price, excluding original delivery costs.
Due to hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on candles that have been used.
To initiate a return, please contact us before sending any items back. Items returned without prior notification may not be accepted.
The cost of return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or was sent in error.
Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of receiving the returned item. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if items show signs of use or damage caused after delivery.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.
11. Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or is defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs of the damage at contact@bougiedor.com. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, product descriptions, and design, is the property of Bougiedor Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bougiedor Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of our website or products. Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of that order.
